Every individual accepted into the BHM internship program will have predetermined roles or responsibilities before coming to the field. Some examples of these roles include but are not limited to:

Maintenance & Repair, Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanical, Agriculture, Business Administration, IT support, Media Production, Teaching English, and Child Sponsorship.

The primary responsibilities of an intern will fall under their predetermined role, however additional responsibilities may be assigned or required.

Every individual in the internship program will work directly under a supervisor. A supervisor will typically be a department head (Child Sponsorship, Mountain Maid, Operations, etc). The supervisor's responsibility is to assign specific responsibilities or projects, to adequately train each intern to accomplish their expected responsibilities, to oversee their work & progress, and to provide constructive correction if needed.

Every intern will be expected to work at least 40 hours a week (8am-4pm).

Every intern will attend a once-a-week focus group with program coordinator and other interns. The aim of this focus group is to debrief experiences, develop cross-cultural competency, and to encourage spiritual health & growth
